Add a New Service
Show your customers what you have to offer by adding services

The best way to receive bookings from your customers is to offer your services in a fun and exciting way! Follow the below steps to use AOT to offer services to your customers for booking.
Step 1: Open the Services screen
From the AOT Sidebar, select Services.
From the Services page, you can customize your Booking Page, set Scheduling Limits, add new Services, and more.

Step 2: Add a new Service
To get started, add your service by selecting the + Add New button or by selecting + New from the Universal Create Button in the AOT header.
A New Service window will appear, where you may choose the type of service you want to create, whether it’s an Appointment, Group Class, or Series.

Step 3: Select the Service Type
AOT offers your business the flexibility of 3 different types of services to choose from. The different service types are explained below.
- Appointment
- An Appointment Service is for 1:1 or group appointments that are booked based on the availability of yourself or 1 or more staff member. Some examples of an Appointment Service include a 60-minute massage, a one-hour beauty treatment, or a 2-hour private training session.
- Group Class
- A Group Class is a type of service that is offered at a specific time and location on your calendar and led by 1 or more staff members. Group Classes may also be offered on a recurring basis. Some examples of a Group Class include a weekly Pilates Fitness class, a daily Yoga meet-up, or a monthly golf group lesson.
- Series
- A Series is similar to a Group Class, except that all classes in the Series should be attended, and attendees pay for all classes at a single package price. Some examples of a Series include a 4-class Dance Choreography course or a 10-course session on the basics of photography.

Step 4: Add your Service details
- Add a primary color for reference that will be displayed on your AOT calendar
- Upload a thumbnail photo that will be displayed on the Customer Booking Page
- Note: Upload a photo with a minimum resolution of 300x200 and a maximum size of 2MB. Supports .jpg and .png.
- Name your Service. Keep it direct to the point if possible for easy recognition.
- Add a Category. This will keep your services organized on the Services page as well as on your customer booking page.
- Add a Description to provide further details about the service.
TIP: If you have multiple locations, you can include the location, description, or category. Anywhere you want to add for easy recognition of the service offered under a specific location. Example: 30-minute Yoga Lesson on Zoom.

Step 5: Add the Duration, Max Participants, and Price
- Set the duration of your service in minutes
- Add the maximum number of participants you would like to allow to book your Service at one time
- Add the price of your service
Once complete, you may select the Save button to save the basic details or your Service, or you may select the Next button to complete additional details such as Memberships, Staff, and offering classes.

Step 7: Assign Staff (for Appointment Services)
Please refer to this article on how to assign a staff member to provide the Appointment Service you have created. Note that this only applies to Appointment Services.
Step 8: Offer Classes (for Group Classes)
For Group Class Services, you may offer classes from the Offer Class tab. Offering a class allows your clients to view and book your classes.
When offering a class, you will need to choose the below options:
- Location
- From the list of Locations created previously, select the location where you would like this class to be held
- Instructor
- From the list of Staff created previously, select the staff member to teach this class
- Time and Date
- Select the time and date for the class. If you are offering this as a recurring class, this should reflect the Time and Date of the first class.
- Recurrence
- Select this checkbox if you would like this class to recur 2 or more times
- Day
- The day will be automatically set to the day of the week that your first class is offered
- Repeats
- This is the recurrence schedule. You can choose from the following options:
- Daily
- The class will be offered every day at the selected time (for example, every day at 10 am)
- Weekly
- The class will be offered once a week on the selected day and time (for example, every Wednesday at 10 am)
- Every Month on this Date
- The class will be offered every month on the same date (for example, on the 25th of every month)
- Every Month on this Day of the Week
- The class will be offered on the same day of the week every month (for example, the 2nd Thursday of every month)
You can add 1 or more class schedules at a time.
Once complete, you may select Save to save your class schedule, or Next to set up further items related to your Service.
TIP: If you've not added a location or staff yet, you can choose “Skip for Now” and offer classes at a later time. You can go back to this window at any time from the Services screen.

Step 9: Set up your booking page
From the Booking Page window, you can choose whether you would like this service to be offered on your public Customer Booking page.
- Private
- Private services can only be booked by your customers if you share the direct link
- Public
- Public services can be booked directly by your customers from the Customer Booking Page
Your booking page can be accessed from the Booking Page link in the Sharing section.
- To access the standalone booking page, select Standalone Booking Page, and copy/paste the link to your browser
- To embed the Customer Booking Page on your website, select Embed Booking Page, and copy the code snippet. You can then paste this code snipped to any website or website building tool by pasting the code snippet in a <Code> window from your website editor page.

Once you've completed setting up the key details of your Service, select FINISH to save these details. You can refer back to this screen at any change to update or change the details of your Service.
